Originally from South Carolina, Dr. Gwinn attended the University of South Carolina as a Pre-Med student and was a member and treasurer of the Pre-Med Honor Society, Alpha Epsilon Delta. He graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
He went on to attend the Sherman College of Chiropractic and Life College of Chiropractic, where he received his doctorate. While attending Sherman, Dr. Gwinn taught chemistry and was the director of the mini courses. At Life College of Chiropractic, he was a member of the International Chiropractic Society, Pi Tau Delta, and he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Gwinn also attended Capital University of Integrative Medicine and is a Certified Extremities Practitioner. Owner and director of the Maryville and Madisonville Chiropractic Clinics, he has been practicing chiropractic for over 38 years. Dr. Gwinn is a member of the Tennessee Valley Chiropractic Association (TVCA), the Tennessee Chiropractic Association (TCA), and was a previous member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA).
In his spare time, he enjoys playing most sports and participating in various outdoor activities.
